The Charlatan Will Be Revealed...

A Mystery Dinner Game

The Story...

You've received a mysterious invitation in the mail.  It reads...

Your presence is requested at a complimentary evening’s stay at the Windfall Lodge to be hosted by Despicable, Nefarious, & Cad, Attorneys at Law.  The purpose of this retreat is to discuss a large sum of money you may be eligible to claim.  You must attend the evening’s activities if you are to qualify for the large sum of money (in excess of 1 million dollars).  All arrangements have been made on your behalf.

This event is to be held on the DATE of MONTH, YEAR.  The evening’s activities will promptly commence at TIME in the evening.  The doors to the Lodge will be closed and locked at that time and no additional guests will be admitted.

Please do not contact this law firm with any questions.  Any and all questions will be answered if and when you attend the meeting at the Windfall Lodge.  The Charlatan will be revealed…

Until Then, Sincerely Yours,

Despicable

Lead Attorney for Despicable, Nefarious, and Cad

The Game...

There isn't much advance information to give you a clue about the Mystery At Windfall Lodge.  You received an invitation from the infamous law firm of Despicable, Nefarious, and Cad, but you don't know anything more than that.  Part of the mystery is not knowing why everyone is gathered at the  Windfall Lodge.   The game is divided into four "game" segments and three "dinner" segments.  In the first game segment, everyone learns more about the characters in the mystery and some of their relationships with each other.  Then the players break to enjoy some appetizers.  In the second game segment, the characters learn more about why they're at the Windfall Lodge.  Then the players break for dinner.  In the third game segment, the characters learn how they can make a claim on the money that is up for grabs, and they have a chance to make a claim on the money - if they wish.  Then the players break for dessert (which is my favorite part of the game).  In the Fourth game segment, everyone in attendance gets a chance to determine who the charlatan (imposter, fake, phony) is and who is going to end up with the money.

The Details...

The Mystery At Windfall Lodge is a Mystery Dinner Game for between 16-20 players.  Each person plays a part in the drama that unfolds as the evening progresses. The dinner takes about four to five hours to play, including the time that it takes to eat, and can be played by anyone who is able to take part in deductive reasoning. The game works best with Junior High aged teen-agers thru adults.

Everything that you need to put on Mystery At Windfall Lodge, except the food and the paper the game is printed on, is included in the files that you receive when you order the game. Complete instructions, with the ability to contact me with further questions, are given for each person who is to help prepare for the evening.

If you're not adapt at working with computers, of you'd prefer not print out the game yourself, you can order a printed version of the game.  You'll receive everything printed, packaged, and ready to play.  You'll also receive a disk that contains the files if you wish to play the game again in the future.

If you live in the Northern Pennsylvania or Western New York area I will come and moderate the game for you. This gives everyone in your group the opportunity to play the game and cuts down on your preparation time. I enjoy having the opportunity to meet new people and I also enjoy having the opportunity to take part in the game yet again. Contact me for further details.
