A Friendly Competition -1
A Friendly Competition -2
3 actors
About 10 minutes
This is a fun play that uses a pair of actors who are setting a bad example to convey the importance of good sportsmanship over the importance of victory.

This play comes in two different versions.

A Little At A Time
5 Actors
5-10 Minutes
This play conveys the fact that we may be well guarded for a large compromise of what we know to be wrong as Christian, but often Satan gets us to buy into the theory that a little bit can’t hurt.  Before we know it we’re in sin deeper than we would have been if we would have given into the larger compromised we were first temped with.

A Tiger In A Cage
3 actors
5-10 minutes
This play conveys the way that many Christians feel when they look at all of the “fun” things that they have to give up as soon as they become Christians.  Rather than look at the restrictions that are placed on our lives, we should look at our “confinement” as protection from the world around us.

All In a Mom’s Day’s Work
3 Actors
15 Minutes
Two teenage kids want to give their Mom a day off as a gift for Mother's Day.  They ask her to compile a list of the things that she typically does during an average Friday.  She compiles a list and the two attempt to split up the tasks so that they can complete a single day’s worth of work for their Mother.  Through the errors that they end up making while attempting to complete all of the things on the list, they learn that it’s not that easy to be a Mom and they gain a new appreciation for all that she does for them.  Let’s just hope that the appreciation lasts more than a few weeks.

Avoid the Rush
2 Actors
10 Minutes
We all get caught up in the material side of Christmas.  We get caught up in the rush of getting everything together in time for Christmas.  Sometimes we put too much emphasis on the material side and forget the true meaning of Christmas.  This play attempts to remind us of the true meaning of Christmas and offers a suggestion as to a way that we can offer a birthday present to our Lord and Savior on His birthday.

Can You Ask Me A Few Questions? - 2 Actors
Can You Ask Me A Few Questions? - 3 Actors
There are two versions of this play.  One with two actors, one with three actors.
10-15 Minutes
This play conveys the importance of studying the Bible, taking your faith seriously, and attending Sunday School.  It also attempts to show the audience that God isn’t only interested in a man’s outward appearance, but that He looks on our hearts and judges us for what he finds there.  Ted approaches Bill after hearing that Bill actually won the competition to see if it’s really true.

Can You Ask Me A Few More Questions?
2 actors
15 minutes
This play conveys the importance of studying the Bible, taking your faith seriously, and attending Sunday School.  Bill has entered a Bible quiz competition but needs help preparing for it.  He approaches Ted for some help, but it might not be enough.

Can You Still Forgive Me?
5 Actors
15 Minutes
This play attempts to convey God’s omnipresence.  How He is able to know what we have done even though there isn’t anyone else around to witness it.  Then the play transitions into God’s forgiveness.  I am using three specific stories here.  That of Zacchaeus, the woman at the well, and the criminals on the cross.

Cheaper By The Pound
2 Actors
10 Minutes
This play conveys the fact that we shouldn’t give to others with the intention of making us look good.  As the Bible says, we should give to others because Jesus told us to and we should be sure that the gift we give is something that we would buy for ourselves.  A worksite competition to raise the most food to help out at Thanksgiving raises the issue of truly helping others.

Corporate Compromise
5 Actors
10 minutes
This play conveys how compromise can sneak up on us when we don’t realize it.  Sometimes we start doing little things that are wrong, not realizing that others are noticing.  When there are no consequences for our actions, we begin to add to what we are doing, until we are eventually caught doing things we never would have thought of doing in the first place.

Crucify Him – Play Version
2 Actors
15 minutes
This play conveys the cruelty of the crucifixion.  I believe that the knowledge of what Christ actually went through in order to pay for our salvation creates a powerful image of our Lord and Savior that most of us have either forgotten or have never seen.

There is a play and a monologue version of this play.

Daniel
9 Actors
15 Minutes
This play conveys the faithfulness Daniel showed when he chose to obey the laws of God rather than bow to the laws of man.

Did You Hear Who’s In Town?
5 Actors
15 Minutes
This play is based on the story of the man who was healed because of the faith of his friends.  Through it I hope to encourage Christians to keep the needs of their Christian friends close to heart, especially when they are in prayer.

Do You Measure Up?
16 Actors
15 Minutes
This play conveys God’s love for us and His acceptance of us regardless of the flaws and worthless attributes we possess.  This play is set at the lunch table at a public school.  Stereotypical students are picked on until a Christian stands up for the value found in all people.

Don’t Be Frantic
2 Actors
15 Minutes
This play teaches that a celebration of Jesus’ Birthday is different from a cultural celebration of Christmas.  It gives us ideas on how we can make our celebration of Christmas an example of an act of worship rather than just a family winter gathering.

Don’t Be Happy – Worry
2 Actors
10 Minutes
This play conveys the fact that we as Christians need to express joy in our new found, or old found, faith in the Lord and not be afraid of what others are going to think about how we exhibit that joy.  It shows the contrast between someone who lives with bitterness and someone who found the joy of Christ.

Don’t Forget To Thank Him
3 Actors
15 Minutes
This play shows the audience how easy it is to get caught up into the daily grind of life and forget that we have so much to be thankful for.  I stress that a simple change of mind is all that is needed to turn a selfish heart into a thankful one.

Esther
4 Actors
15 Minutes
This play conveys the courage Esther showed when she stood up to Haman and King Xerxes to save the Jewish people from Haman’s persecution.

Family Portraits
4 Actors
5 Minutes
This funny play can be used to encourage people to sign up for your church pictorial directory or poke fun at the frantic process we follow when families get ready for church on Sunday mornings..

Follow That Shepherd
9 Actors
15 minutes
The simple desire of a couple of sheep who long to see the newborn Christ child lead us to find Him in the manger.  This leads us to examine our desire to seek and follow the Him.  It’s a simple play, meant to be performed for children, yet the simple message will reach into the hearts of adults as well.  This play could be done as a puppet show or as a live production.

Get Off That Cross
5 Actors
15 Minutes
This play uses the imagery of Christ and the two criminals on the cross to convey the message of the Gospel.

Give It To Me
2 Actors
10 Minutes
This play confronts the “God owes me” attitude that many Christians adopt.  I present a female character who is looking for God to give her all that she could ever want just because she asks Him for it.  Another character shows her that God is willing to provide for our needs but that we error when we expect Him to give us anything that we ask for.

Go Into The Whole World
2 Actors
5-10 Minutes
This play conveys the fact that we are to go into the whole world and make disciples among all men and how it’s impossible for us to do it alone.  Supporting the Great Commission Missions Program (or other missions programs) is a great way to play our part in spreading the Gospel throughout the world.

Hall Of Fame
2 Actors
10 Minutes
This play shows how we tend to judge a person’s value by the human accomplishments that they are able to complete rather than how they are judged in God’s eyes.  When we realize that we can only complete trite accomplishments compared to what Christ did for us on the cross we realize that we are foolish to reject His ultimate accomplishment.

Hezekiah Knows Best
5 Actors
10-15 Minutes
This play uses Hezekiah’s story to convey the fact that through prayer we can stand against any temptation that is put our way, no matter how large or difficult to overcome.

Hold On For Dear Life
5 Actors
15 Minutes
This play shows how we don’t need to be perfect in order to be Christians.  I use a new convert, Butch, to emphasize how we all make mistakes.  I also attempt to express that we need to pull together as a body of believers in order to lift one another up when we need the encouragement.

How Big Is An Ark, Anyway?
5 Actors
10 Minutes
This play shows how we learn about obedience from the story of Noah’s Ark.

I Can’t Wait
2 Actors
15 Minutes
This play reminds the audience that the rapture could happen at any minute and explores some fun places we could be when the rapture happens.

I Guarantee You
2 Actors
5-10 Minutes
This play conveys the fact that Christians know that the promises that God has made regarding our lives will come to pass.  We can trust that we’ll never have to look for special guarantees from God because we know that His word is true.

I Love You Man
2 Actors
5 Minutes
I have used the "I love you man," quote from popular beer commercials from the mid 90’s to convey how God tries to take our sin from us even though we are not willing to give it to him.

I Need A Vacation -1
I Need A Vacation -2
I Need A Vacation -3
There are three versions of this play with slight variations in presentation.

2 Actors
10 Minutes
This play portrays an all too familiar situation that occurs in churches all across the world : people’s reluctance to dedicate themselves to faithfully tithe to their church.  Other expenditures are given a higher priority than the tithe and the church ends up with a portion of what is left over after we have spent our money on things of this world.

I’m Not The Only One
2 Actors
10 Minutes
Every Christian has had one sin that has given them a difficult time at one time or another during their life.  This play attempts to convey that we all have difficulty with sin and how we can all go to the Lord for forgiveness.

I’m Waiting
3 Actors
30 Minutes
This play portrays a couple who are experiencing conflict over typical marital problems.  The stress they are experiencing over money, sexual relations, emotional investment, the kids, and a balance between work and family have brought their patience to a boiling point.  When they are through arguing, the Holy Spirit enters and quietly counsels them and leads them to a period of reconciliation.

Jesus At The Gate
7 Actors
15 Minutes
This play shows the important part shepherds play in the life of the sheep they shepherd and point to how Jesus is our shepherd.

Just Kids
2 Actors
10 Minutes
This play encourages discouraged youth workers.  It can also be used to inform the audience of the emotions and concerns that run through most youth worker’s heads when they are concerned over the youth that they work with.  It is also a call to true devotion for all youth workers.

Maybe Tomorrow
2 Actors
10 Minutes
This play portrays a typical attitude among people, namely the thought that they plan on becoming right with God sometime ‘tomorrow.’  Well, in this play Bill runs out of tomorrow’s as the rapture takes place and he finds himself left of earth.  The irony in this play is that he doesn’t even realize that he has been left behind.

Moses
6 Actors
15 minutes
This play conveys how Moses was willing to obey God during the time when God was giving him the Ten Commandments.

Oh Say, Can’t You See?
2 Actors
5 Minutes
Many Christians are actively searching for God's vision for their lives, not realizing that all that God requires of us, hopes for us, and has planned for us is contained within the Word of God.  This play points out the foolish ways we search for God's vision and compares it to how easily we can find the answers.

Right Now
2 Actors
10 minutes
This play brings to light to the fact that dwelling on the bad things that are happening around us rarely results in anything positive.  We have to have a positive attitude regarding our walk with the Lord and trust that He’s at work in our world.

Searching For God
A Large Group play of 23 actors
About 25 minutes.
This play conveys the truth that we should all search for a closer walk with the Lord.  The play outlines ways for us to find that closer walk, and shows how we usually find other things to get in the way.

Standing Out In a Crowd
Any size group
15 Minutes
This play has been written to be used as an evangelistic tool within a church or as a street ministry tool.  The narrator reads, or tells the story and the ‘crowd’ acts out what he or she is saying.

Tear and Burn
8 actors
15 Minutes
This play conveys the fact that you can’t just pick and choose what parts of the Bible you wish to obey.  God’s Word is complete as it is written and we are to read it and obey it.

That’s My Point, Exactly
2 Actors
10 Minutes
This play conveys the fact that a Christian should always be aware of the message that they are giving through the things that they say and do to anyone who happens to be around them.

The Fiery Furnace
6 Actors
10-15 Minutes
This play conveys the fact that through prayer we can stand against any temptation that is put our way, no matter how large or difficult to overcome.

The Good Samaritan
12 Actors
15-20 minutes
This play is based on the story of the Good Samaritan as found in Luke 10:25-37.  Its intention is to convey the teaching of Christ that everyone is our neighbor and to encourage the audience to seek ways to show Christ’s love to their neighbors on a daily basis.

The Lost Sheep
6 Actors
10-15 Minutes
This play conveys the fact that Jesus commanded us to go after those in the world who need to hear the Gospel message.  It is so easy for us to get caught up in taking care of fellow Christians that we neglect those who need to develop a relationship with Christ and accept Him as their Lord and Savior.

The Mystery of Happiness – Solved
2 Actors
5 Minutes
Many people are searching for happiness for their lives.  They look in a number of places for the joy that they feel they should be experiencing within and they are often left void.  The mystery of happiness can be solved by following the teaching of the bible.  Within we shall find the keys to living a peaceful, joyous, fulfilled life.

The Story of Bob and Felicia

This play encourages the audience to be bold in witnessing their faith.  Bob and Felicia had a “God experience” at summer camp.  This play tells their story and encourages others to have a similar experience in their lives as well.

What Are You Afraid Of?
5 Actors
15 Minutes
This play conveys how much power we have available to us through our relationship with our Lord and Savior.  The text for the sermon is that of Jesus calming the storm while the disciples were out on a boat.

What’s The Big Deal?
2 Actors
15 Minutes
This is a play about how people sometimes get caught up in secular practices and believe that they aren't doing anything wrong.  Yet they’re allowing a negative spiritual influence into their lives and the result of that influence draws them further from the Lord.

What’s Wrong With That?
2 Actors
10 Minutes
This play shows the audience how a Sunday Christian looks to the rest of the world.  I emphasize the importance of acting like a Christian in all situations no matter how you feel regarding the situation that you are stuck in.

What’s Your Word?
5 Actors
10-15 Minutes
This play encourages people to become involved in Sunday School.  A small group of kids who are dissatisfied with the way that their Sunday School class is run are confronted by a parent who is able to change their attitudes through the insight that he adds.

Working On A Deadline
2 Actors
20 Minutes
This play conveys how we often let pride get in the way of allowing others to minister to us and ultimately hinder God’s ability to work in our lives.
